I was in such a rush to get this quilt shipped to it’s customer that I completely forgot to take pictures of it post-dryer. Lucky for me, my customer has a fabulous interior design blog and has given me some major blog love! Thanks Michelle!
This quilt was made during watching season 1-3 of battlestar galactica. Seems appropriate enough, since there are several star blocks in the quilt and the bright mod colors just seem to say futuristic! to me.
I started this quilt last summer following the Summer Sampler Series Quilt-A-Long, here. I made my quilt almost exactly like Faith’s of FreshLemonsQuilts, but a few slight changes to the colors in the blocks. I really wanted to use the “Pure Elements” line from Pat Bravo, the colors are so bright and poppy and modern, and I had never made a quilt using only solids before. I am mighty pleased with how this one turned out, it’s so bright and happy!
More photos after the jump.
I seem to always watch a particular tv show constantly during the process of each quilt. This one was Parks & Rec. Love that show!
I made the top to this one in 2009 also and recently got around to quilting and binding it. Just a little guy, would be perfect as a stroller blanket or playmat. More photos after the jump!
Woohoo another quilt is complete! This one has been on my to-do list for quite some time. I’m not even sure when I started it, maybe in the summer of 2009? Originally intended as a scrap-buster quilt. Then I put it away after finishing the top and finally got it back out to baste and start quilting in the winter of 2010-2011. I got it back out in the last month or so and finally finished the quilting and binding this week. It always reminds me of the show “Firefly” because I quilted it while essentionally shotgunning that show on Netflix. ha!
